Aishwarya strikes fine balances: she melds taut Bharathnatyam stances with a lissome eloquence; she transforms herself into various personae, in the navarasas, without cloying overstatement; she connects to her audience, but even through it her shraddha to the art shines forth.
Grace came early to Aishwarya's dance. Even at age eight she captivated audiences during stage performances with neat footwork and beauty of expression.
Today Aishwarya has equipped herself in every area of Bharathanatyam: Choreography, Nattuvangam, music, theory of dance and teaching, while her focus is on margam. Seeking to be a true professional, she works hard on each performance, each season. She says, "I feel happiest when I am dancing. Each performance deserves my best and I try to give it!"
The senior most student of Bharathanjali, Aishwarya is dedicated to her guru Smt Anitha Guha, and finds inspiration in her. She has imbibed her guru Anitha guha’s distinctive style which is being recognized and well appreciated in the world of Bharathanatyam. Energetic Nritta and internalized bhava find ample expression in her dance. Those who interact with her know punctuality, sincerity and respect for fellow artistes and gurus are ingrained in her.
“Our guru has trained us to put in more than 100% effort in everything we do and to leave the rest to God. She has taught us bhakthi towards this art, a taste for costumes, make-up, beauty and nalinam in every little thing we do,” says Aishwarya.
Apart from performing solos, she has been playing key roles in the Bharathanjali’s celebrated productions, such as Andal in “Thiruppavai,” Chitrangada, Sundarar in “Nattrunai aavadhu Namachivayave”, Uttarai in “Ramyam Hitham Natyam”, Padmavathi in “Sada Venkatesam Smarami Smarami” and Shiva in “Mahadevam Mahasenam bhaje.”
“Singar Mani” “Nalanda Nritya Nipuna”, “Natya Chudar” are some of the titles bestowed on Aishwarya Narayanaswamy. She is also an empanelled artiste of ICCR.
Good rhythmic command, great felicity of expression and pleasing stage presence are her forte. With her lithe and sprightly form, filled with youthful energy, Aishwarya makes Bharathanatyam a pleasure to watch.
